Confident Birthing educates expectant women and their partners about the dynamics of normal labor helping them better navigate the process together. Partner participation is encouraged in this distinctly “hands-on” class which gives equal attention to partners most of whom are also becoming parents. This gives useful tools to those wanting to be the mother’s primary support as she moves intuitively through labor and birth as well as essential advocacy and processing skills in the case of necessary interventions.
Time is allowed for the couple to become familiar and comfortable with the many possible positions and support techniques that can be used to create a pain coping mindset and facilitate the greatest possible progress in labor. In addition we give special attention to the emotional component of labor with the intention of bringing the greatest communication and connection between partners who are moving into parenthood together. Developing trust in the process helps parents confidently experience this uniquely intense, intimate, and joyous life event.
Our most popular and widely recommended class. Here is what people are saying about Confident Birthing-Boise Birth.
“Brian and I just wanted to thank you for the awesome classes. We both learned so much. It seemed like after every class I could think of a birth story I had heard where I thought, if only they had known about this coping technique, or that set of questions to ask, they might have had a better birth experience. It really helps me feel ahead of the game. Brian really enjoyed your enthusiasm for your teaching. He said you are funny and very easy to listen to. We are prepared for the unexpected (you just never know how it will play out) ...we now feel we have a great toolbox to draw from. Thanks again." -Marissa & Brian
“We just wanted to thank you for the classes. We used nearly everything (I'm not joking). I especially want to say that the part about making choices during different and sometime difficult stages of the birth was the most useful.” –Mike
“My clients who take Kyndal’s class know what to expect, what to do and aren’t afraid of labor.”-Midwife, Sue Thomson
“I would just like to reiterate how helpful I feel your class was for me. Although at the time, the pain coping exercises we did felt a little silly, I have to say that it really did illustrate to me how I could expect to cope when I found myself in labor again. When I was in active labor I used rhythm and it really worked for me. I appreciated your focus on 'sounding' I went home and actually did practice. My sounding came much more naturally this time and I believe helped me stay with my body and my baby sooooo well. I remember (my midwife) telling me I looked like a pro and I have to tell you, I felt like one.” –Dierdra
“I wish this class had been available to me and my husband for our births”.-Paula Popp, Certified Labor Support Doula and mother of three.

“I know I already told you that I appreciated your information, but I felt so informed and--not in control but, safe you know? Anyway, I truly valued everything I learned from you and I'm thankful to have taken you class again. Keep on inspiring!” –Dee
“I feel so blessed to be taking your birth class. It is hard for me to put into words, but I really appreciate the information you present, and your style of communicating. I love how you jump into even delicate topics and make your teaching so real.” –Ruth
“I was really impressed with your class and especially the promotion of healthy couples postpartum that was apparent even in the class I attended! Just if all first time parents could attend a class like yours! It would literally change the country!” -Joy, Student Midwife
