    Professional Labor Support

As a labor support doula, my primary goal is to assist the laboring woman to help ensure a satisfying birth experience. I give emotional support, use physical comfort measures, and provide information, when necessary, to allow the laboring woman and her partner to make informed choices.

Drawing from experience, I provide reassurance and suggestions for both comfort and progress through the labor process.

What Clients are saying: I've known Kyndal for 10 years or so therefore, it was easy for my husband and me to have her as our Doula. Not because of the length of time that I have known her but because of the depth of her character, her integrity, her knowledge and pure love for what she does. She is passionate about the birth experience and her role in helping to make it everything that it is her clients want or desire it to be. She has an innate gift of knowing when to step back and let birth happen and when to engage completely in the moment. She also took beautiful, candid but graceful photographs of our birth which I've loved going back to time and again over the last 2 1/2 years; it helps me to remember all of the wonderful, challenging, pure miraculous, euphoric moments when so much of what happened, for me, was lost in my deep focus and concentration. Because of her quiet presence, my husband was able to be fully present and be a complete participant in our son’s birth, which is what we both wanted to have happen. I would highly recommend her time and again!

I hired Kyndal at the last minute - less than a week before I gave birth! I had decided at 8 and a half months to do a home birth and decided that getting the most experienced doula possible was a good idea. In fact I wasn't SURE It was necessary - I was having 2 midwives present, but hiring Kyndal turned out to be the best decision I could have made. From the moment she arrived, she knew exactly what I should do to best cope with my labor. She showed me positions, even holding me in several, coaxed me through ones I really didn't want to do, encouraged vocalizations, massaged me, applied cool rags, you name it, she did it. I had lots of other help available, but it was Kyndal I relied on and ... I can't imagine having done it without her!
My boy was born at home 20 hours after contractions began, happy and healthy. It was a wonderful beginning. And it has only gotten better since!
